CDR Engaged in a new T-mobile Project

T-Mobile has long been a supporter of the CDR and has recently reached out to help develop a solution in healthcare. To simplify, the elder, more senior nurses are retiring rapidly due to the pandemic and what has become “burnout” from their increased duties. The knowledge and experience that years of nursing have provided go with them. Newer novice nurses cannot experience this mentorship, which is valuable in their growth. T-Mobile has asked the CDR fall 2023 class to develop a means by which the older, retired nurses can communicate much of this valued work and insights to the younger nurses. As one of the more challenging projects, we are moving forward with a great complement of students with disciplines in data analytics, computer/aeronautical science, and architecture. The work to date has focused on defining the problem, developing ideas for resolution, and experiencing AI (artificial intelligence) as a means for resolution. Our recent mid-term presentation, indicated by T-Mobile, was right on the track to a solution. Prof. Thomas hopes these interdisciplinary projects continue, which is one of the missions of the CDR.
